The cottage was beautifully furnished and had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a romantic escape. the location was excellent, right in the center of town but still peaceful. the owners were very helpful and provided detailed information about parking and other amenities. We also appreciated the free parking ticket and the option for self-catering, allowing us to have more freedom with our meals.
The cleanliness of the cottage was lacking. the parking situation was a hassle.

The cottage is lovely, oldie worldly and hidden down a private ginnel away from the street. the decor is great. We loved its proximity to the centre of Whitby: it's literally in amongst it all and five minutes walk from most things. We loved the self catering: All our other places were hotels or guest houses on this trip so it was cool to dance to our own tune food-wise. We loved that we could collect a scratch card early: we arrived sooner than the 4pm check-in but we're allowed to pop in for a scratch card, this made our day much easier and cheaper. The cottage sleeps six with one bathroom. the stairs up to the top mezzanine double bed are steep, but it worked well for us as a family of four adults. It was so lovely and just as I hoped. It was clean, well maintained, and actually bigger than I thought. I thought 'cosy' might mean small, but it's got plenty of room. I would definitely book again if travelling to Whitby. the ease of communication with the owners, the free parking ticket, the property is what it says on the tin. location is good and there is lots to do. met some interesting shop owners. tea and coffee but dont forget your own milk. shower was good. your down a small alleyway with bins located along it from the main street. the smell from the dog bakers next door is yummy. there are two micro breweries
Felt really good, nothing too much trouble.

Well-furnished, quiet cottage tucked away in central location. Clean and cozy with helpful staff providing detailed information. Sleeps six with steep stairs to mezzanine double bed. Proximity to attractions and ability to self-cater were enjoyable. Scratch card availability for early check-in was a bonus.

Being within walking distance of various attractions and amenities makes exploring the town a breeze.
Limited parking options for larger vehicles can be frustrating.

Stayed here and had a blast hiking and fishing! The free WiFi was a bonus, and I loved cozying up in front of the flat-screen TV. Towels were available, which was handy for drying off after a day of adventures.
Oh, who needs a swimming pool or spa when you've got Towels in the holiday home? So disappointing.

We got great value for our money at the cottage, it was clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious. The location was perfect, right in the center of town, close to shops and pubs. The staff, Wayne, Kelly, and Carlie, were amazing and went out of their way to provide us with helpful information and make our stay enjoyable.
The morning meal could use some improvement, perhaps offering a wider variety of options.

This cosy cottage is exactly what we were looking for during our city break! the beds were incredibly comfortable, and we loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere. the shower in the bathroom was powerful and amazing, and the sink was a lovely touch. the cottage itself was full of character and history, with beautifully styled old brickwork. the location was perfect, with plenty of pubs and shops nearby. We also appreciated the parking permits provided by the hosts, which made it much easier to explore the area.
Although our overall experience was great, there was one issue that affected our stay. Unfortunately, our cottage wasn't serviced before our arrival, which meant it wasn't as clean as we had hoped.

I recently stayed at a charming cottage in the heart of Whitby called Cosy 400 Yr Old Cottage, Flowergate. It was a lovely experience to have the entire property to myself, allowing me to choose where to sleep and enjoy the privacy. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated with a unique old-world charm. I particularly loved its proximity to the center of Whitby, as it was just a five-minute walk away from all the attractions. As a self-catering option, it was refreshing to have the freedom to prepare my own meals and enjoy the flexibility.
While there were a few drawbacks, they were minor in comparison to the overall experience. One issue I encountered was with parking.

The cottage was beautifully furnished with a cosy and snug atmosphere. The beds were warm and comfortable, and the shower was powerful and amazing. The location was very central, with plenty of pubs and shops around. The history and old brickwork added to the charm of the cottage. The bathroom was fabulous, with a stylish sink that I loved. the whole feel of the place was perfect.
Parking was a bit of a hassle, especially for larger vehicles. Unloading was inconvenient, as we had to find a street to park on once we were done.
